How We Work With
Providers
Four ways to work with us, and one thing that is true of all of them.
We charge a fixed fee. Not a percentage of your revenue, and not a share of your profit. We take no profit out of the services we manage, so everything your service earns stays with you.
Below is what each arrangement covers and roughly what it costs. We publish this because you should not have to sit through a discovery call to find out whether we are in your reach.
The four models
One-day diagnostic
Fixed fee
A full day on site. We look at quality practices, compliance, roster, occupancy and financials, then give you a written report in priority order. Most providers start here.
Learn moreProject engagement
Quoted on scope
A defined piece of work with a start and an end. Assessment and rating preparation, a policy rebuild, a roster analysis or a pre-purchase review.
Learn moreConsultancy retainer
Quoted on scope
Regular access to us without handing over operations. No minimum term, and you stay in control throughout.
Learn moreManagement agreement
From $6,000 + GST / month
Full operational management. Compliance, quality, people and performance, with monthly reporting. Three-year minimum term.

We will give you a number in the first conversation. Not a range in a follow-up email a week later.
What we will not do
Four things we say no to.
Take on a service we do not believe we can help
Saying yes to one we cannot fix helps nobody, least of all the children in it.
Take on a service we do not have the people for
That would put our own team under pressure and our existing clients at risk. Neither is a trade we are prepared to make.
Turn your service into ours
You are not buying a franchise. We actively encourage the services we manage to hold on to their point of difference.
Work with large corporate groups
If you already have an operations team, that is not the problem we solve. We would rather say so.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
That is the usual path. Most providers who end up in a management agreement started with a one-day diagnostic.
The diagnostic work is not wasted either. We already know your service, so mobilisation is faster.
-
Tell us and we will change it. A consultancy retainer can become a management agreement, and a management agreement can be unwound by agreement at any time.
We have never seen the point of holding an owner in an arrangement they have stopped wanting.
-
Yes, and reasonably often. Below around 60 places a management fee is hard to justify, and we will say so rather than take the engagement and watch you resent it.
Sometimes the honest answer is that you need a good Centre Manager, not a management company.
-
The $6,000 is a floor, not an opening position. What moves the number above it is scope, the size of your service, where you are starting from, how much capability building is needed and how far we travel.
We will give you a number in the first conversation.

Thirty minutes, no cost. We will tell you honestly whether we can help.
